Humayun's Tomb

Ca y est, le véritable voyage commence enfin avec une première touche d'Orient en Inde. On part de Zagreb jusqu'à New Delhi. Le terme "Incredible India" convient parfaitement pour décrire ce que l'on ressent en y arrivant. De nuit, nous avons réussi à esquiver les chauffeurs de taxi frauduleux et nous avons rejoint un lit bien confortable dans les environs de 5h du matin. Le soleil se levait, ainsi qu'une chaleur étouffante, le bruit des moteurs et le cris des coqs commencent à se faire entendre,... bref, bienvenue en Inde!

On passe deux nuit à Delhi, au Bed & Chaï Guesthouse. L'ambiance y est conviviale mais je ne vous le recommande pas trop, une erreur administrative ayant vu notre note doubler au moment de l'addition (bad surprise! ) en attendant l'équipe y est sympathique et le lieu est tenu par deux françaises (pratique pour la communication à l'arrivée!)

Couleurs, bruits, odeurs, tout y est différent! La première journée, on visite un peu le sud (New Delhi) avec le Lotus Temple et Kutb Minar (faisant partie du P.M. de l'UNESCO ) et le jour suivant, on expérimente le métro indien afin de se rendre au Humayun's Tomb, un lieu magnifique qui ne vous fera pas regretter de ne pas être allé au Taj Mahal.

La misère est grande et pourtant on reste dans des zones relativement neutres. Le trafic est dingue, les gens curieux vous scrutent d'un regard pénétrant et pas toujours des plus amicaux (Excepté sur les lieux touristiques où l'on se demande vraiment si l'attraction principale, ce n'est pas nous...)

La nourriture est surprenante, un bon avant goût de ce qui nous attend pour les jours à venir. On est tout de même contente de ne pas s'éterniser dans cette grosse ville. Même pour trouver notre bus au nord de Delhi, il nous a fallu l'aide d'un guide afin de ne pas se perde pas dans ce dédale! En bref, l'Inde et son bordel!

Lotus Temple

Here it is, the real journey finally begins with a first touch Orient in India. We leave from Zagreb to New Delhi. The term "Incredible India" is perfect to describe what it feels like when you arrive there. At night, we managed to avoid fraudulent taxi drivers and we joined a soft bed around 5am. The sun rose, with a stifling heat, engine noises and cries of roosters begin to be heard ... So, welcome to India!

We spent two night in Delhi, at the Bed & Chai Guesthouse. The atmosphere is friendly but I do not recommend it , an administrative error make our bill double the price at the time of addition (bad surprise!) At least, the team is friendly and the place is run by two French woman (easy for communication on arrival!)

Colors, sounds, smells, everything is different! The first day, we visited a little south (New Delhi) with the Lotus Temple and Qutub Minar (part of the UNESCO) and the next day, we experience the Indian metro to get to the Humayun's Tomb, a beautiful place that will not make you regret not going to the Taj Mahal.

Misery is high and yet it remains in relatively neutral zones. The traffic is crazy, curious peoples scan you with a penetrating eyes and not always the most friendly (Except on tourist places where we really wondering if the main attraction was not us ...) The food is surprisingly good taste of what will come ahead for the coming days. We are still happy we didn't eternize in this big city. Even to find our bus in the north of Delhi, we had to ask a guide for help so we didn't get lost in this maze! In short, India and her brothel!
