Mon départ sur Konglor devait s'effectuer en fin de journée, mais ayant un peu peur de me lancer dans du stop à 17/18h, j'ai reporté le tout le lendemain matin et je suis retournée me poser une nuit sur Vientiane. Et c'est là que je rencontre Y., jeune français d'une vingtaine d'années, qui décide de m'accompagner jusque là. Il m'avoue qu'il n'a pas encore eu l'occasion de voyager comme ça, de découvrir les locaux, ayant souvent été enrôlé dans les lieux les plus touristiques de Thaïlande et du Laos.
Soit, j'accepte avec grand plaisirs et on démarre ensemble le lendemain matin. 2 heures de bus sur la grande nationale pour s'arrêter plus haut que Thakhek (pour ceux qui pensent qu'il est plus court de passer par Thakhet pour se rendre sur Konglor, c'est faux! Il s'agit d'un super détour, même lorsque vous venez du sud...). On mange un morceau et on essaye ensuite de reprendre la route. Au bout de 10 min, un pick-up avec une famille thaïlandaise nous embarque! on prend la route, cheveux au vent, à travers des paysages incroyable! Il nous dépose à l'intersection avec le village suivant, et cette fois-ci, se sont deux camionneurs qui nous avance (pour le coup, je peux dire que j'étais contente d'être accompagnée!) et ensuite on termine avec un songtheo local qui nous emmène à destination.
Très peu de touristes sur place, ils débarquent souvent le matin avec un circuit pour repartir ensuite. On a le lac rien que pour nous et on profite d'une baignade très rafraichissante! Un coin de paradis loin de tout. On sympathise avec pas mal de monde à la guesthouse, la Konglor Ecolodge, près de l'entrée du lac!) Le lendemain on visite cette fameuse cave. On profite de l'après-midi à se balader, dans le village, perdu dans les champs de tabac!
Mon visa n'arriverai pas à expiration que je resterai bien quelques jours de plus... Mais bon il faut penser à repartir. Cette fois-ci, c'est à 4, avec P. et S., deux italiennes, qu'on tente de remonter sur Thakhek. Ce n'est pas chose facile, mais finalement on y arrive, à coup de petit tracteurs, bus et Minivan. Ne jamais perdre espoir!
C'est à Thakhek que l'on se sépare! Je retrouve ma compagne de route, C., avec le plus grand bonheur, pour se rendre au Vietnam, tandis que les autres continue l'aventure vers le sud Laos.
D'ailleurs, je suis très fier car Y. m'a désormais surpassé, voyageant en stop et chez l'habitant à travers le Laos, Cambodge, Vietnam, , Chine, Mongolie et Russie,... Il est la preuve vivante qu'on peut faire confiance aux belles rencontres de la route!
My start was to Konglor was suppossed for the end of the day, but I was a little afraid about hitchhiking around 5/6pm! I decided to move the next morning and went back for a night in Vientiane. And that's where I met Y., a young French traveler in his young twenties, who decides to follow me to Konglor. He admits that he never had the opportunity to travel like this, to discover local, having often been enlisted in the most touristic places of Thailand and Laos.
Well, I accept with great pleasure and we started together the next morning. 2 hours bus on the national way to stop higher than Thakhek (for those who think it is shorter to go through Thakek to get to Konglor, this is wrong! This is a big detour, even when you come from the south ...). We eat a little and then tries to get back on the road. After 10 minutes, a pick-up with a Thai family took us at the back, hair flying in the wind, through incredible landscapes! He drops us at the intersection with the next village, and this time, we had two truck drivers who advance us (for once, I can say that I was glad to be accompanied) and then ends we finished with a local songtheo local that took us to our final destination.
Very few tourists there, they often arrive in the morning with a circuit to start then. The lake was just for us and we enjoy a very refreshing swim! A corner of paradise far from everything. We sympathize with a lot of people at the guesthouse, the Konglor Ecolodge, near the entrance of the lake!) The next day we visit the famous cave. We take advantage of the afternoon to stroll in the village, lost in the tobacco fields!
If my visa was not expiring, I will stay a few more days ... But we have to move again. This time, it is 4 of us, with , P. and S., two Italian girls, which tries to get back to Thakhek. It's not easy, but finally we get there, once on a small tractors, then songtheo and Minivan. Never lose hope!
This is in Thakhek that we separates! I found my traveling companion, C., with great happiness, to go to Vietnam, while other adventure continues south to Laos.
Besides, I'm very proud because now Y. surpassed me: traveling in hitchhikking and living with local poeples through Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, Mongolia and Russia ... This is living proof that we can trust the beautiful meetings on the road!
