Le trajet jusqu'à Tam Coc a été légèrement tumultueux... Plutôt que de nous déposer comme convenu à Tam Coc même, notre minivan nous décharge bien avant Ninh Binh, malgré nos protestations. Mais cette aventure nous aura permis de rencontrer un chouette couple de français avec qui on fera du stop pour se rendre à destination. Ils nous accompagnent également au Duc Tuan Hotel, un endroit que je ne peux que vous recommander pour leur gentillesse, la qualité des chambres pour un tout petit budget ainsi qu'un super resto. Et en plus ils parlent français! Tam Coc est un très beau coup de coeur, dommage que notre vol retour nous empêche d'y séjourner quelques jours de plus. On profite le jour même, en fin d'après midi, d'une balade en bateau sur une rivière serpentant entre les roches karstique émergeant un peu partout au milieux des cultures de riz flottant.
Le couple de français ayant lu le même blog que moi, on tente une balade hors des sentiers battu, à savoir: entrée officielle: 390 000 vnd (environs 20$ pour deux) et la dessus, seulement 60 000 vnd qui reviennent au rameur. En gros, des cacahuètes! Il est 16h, le moment où les gros groupes touristiques terminent leurs balades. On s'éloigne de l'entrée officiel en longeant l'eau. Arrivés à un petit pont, après un hôtel en construction, on aperçoit une rameuse qui rentre chez elle, venant dans notre direction. Elle nous demande du regard si on veut aller faire la balade: On acquiesse. Elle est nerveuse et regarde bien partout pour ne pas se faire repérer... On négocie la balade à 200 000 vnd pour deux (10$). Là, au moins, tout va directement dans leurs poche. On s'en va donc à deux barques, père et fille se suivant, alternant la rame à la main avec les pieds... C'est à voir! Quel travail. Ils sont bien courageux également mais leur bonté rend le cadre encore plus beau!
Le soir même on assiste à un petit festival local du genre "mon incroyable talent", avec des performances assez surprenante! Le lendemain, après une très bonne nuit, on monte sur les vélos et on se rend jusqu'au temple de la colline, duquel on peut avoir un point de vue magnifique sur la vallée. Une chance qu'il n'est pas trop tard, le soleil tape déjà (huuuum douce chaleur retrouvée!) et gravir ses 550 marches n'est pas de tout repos. Mais l'effort est mérité et le résultat en vaut la peine. Après avoir profité d'un super buffet à notre hotel, on doit malheureusement reprendre la route vers la capital. On passe cette fois la nuit au North Hostel n° 2. Chambre minuscule, comme son prix, mais on y arrive tard et on doit repartir tôt. Il ne s'agit que de dormir donc on s'en fout. Ca dépanne toujours!

But this adventure allowed us to meet a nice French couple with whom we will hitchhike to get to destination. They also accompany us to Duc Tuan Hotel, a place that I can recommend you for their kindness, quality of the rooms for a small budget and a great restaurant. Plus they speak French!
Tam Coc is a beautiful heart crash, shame for us our flight back doesn't allow us to stay there a few more days. We enjoy the same day in the late afternoon a boat trip on a river floating between karst rocks emerging across the floating rice fields.

Arrived at a small bridge, after a hotel under construction, we see a rower who goes home, coming in our direction.She asks us if we want to go for a ride: We agree. She is nervous and looks everywhere if she is not spotted ... We negotiate the ride to 200,000 vnd for two ($ 10). There, at least, everything goes straight into their pocket. So we're going on two boats, father and daughter following each other, alternating the oar with hand and feet ... You have to see that! What a work. They are also well courageous but their kindness makes it even more beautiful!.
That evening we saw a small local festival like "my incredible talent", with rather surprising performances! The next day, after a very good night, we climb on our bikes and went to the temple on the hill, from which you can have a magnificent view of the valley. A chance that it's not too late, the sun already burn (Huuuuuum soft heat again!) and climb its 550 steps, which was not easy. But the effort was awarded and the result is worth it.
After enjoying a great buffet at our hotel, we unfortunately must take the road to the capital. This time we spend the night at the North Hostel No. 2. Tiny room, as its price, but we arrived there later and we had to start early. It is only to sleep so who cares. It always helps out!
