Sur la route de Fianar, je décide de faire un arrêt à Ambositra.

On the road to Fianar, I decided to make a stop to Ambositra.

AMBOSITRA, prononcé "Ambouss", j'y suis arrivée plus tard que prévu, et, faute de pouvoir contacter mon hôte éventuelle, je me suis installé "chez Jonathan" petit hôtel pas cher, qui ne paye pas de mine, mais convenable le temps d'une nuit: La chambre de base est à min 10€ mais j'ai réussi à bien négocier avec le patron. Il faisait déjà noir, je n'avais pas envie de me balader avec mon barda sur le dos.

AMBOSITRA, pronounced "Ambouss" I arrived later than expected, and, unable to contact my potential host, I installed myself "at Jonathan" small budgethotel, that does not look good at first, but good enough for one night: basic room is 10€ min but I was able to negotiate with the owner. It was already dark, I did not want to walk with my stuff on my back.

J'ai profité d'une balade matinale dans la campagne environnante, à la recherche d'une cascade que je n'aurai finalement jamais trouvée, les explications se contredisant non-stop. Tout est bon pour prendre un taxi ou un guide... Donc au final je me suis installée au bord de l'eau pour écrire au soleil. Et là, j'ai fais la belle rencontre RADO, jeune agriculteur de 24 ans, qui est venu se poser près de moi pour discuter. Il m'a ensuite emmener voir sa maison, et rencontrer sa famille, mère, frère et cousines,... :

Ils vivent a trois dans une pièce de 2,5 *2,5m avec en tout deux lit, une chaise et une petite table sur laquelle s'amasse leurs maigre avoir! Le tout en haut d'une maison totalement délabrée. Rado a arrêté ses études d'économie a Tana au bout d'un an et demi, faute d'argent. De toute manière il n'aime pas la ville. Je souhaite a tout ces gens tout le bonheur du monde! Ils sont merveilleux.

I enjoyed a morning walk in the surrounding countryside in search of a waterfall that I finally never found, non-stop contradiction between the explanations. Everything is good to take a taxi or a guide ... So in the end I settled on the edge of the water to write under the sun. And there I had a beautiful meeting with RADO, young farmer of 24 years, which came to rest with me to discuss. He also bring me to his house to meet his family, mother, brother and cousins ...:

They live at three in a 2.5 * 2.5 m room with a total of two beds, one chair and a small table on which their put everty little things they have! They live a the top of a house completely dilapidated. Rado stopped his economic studies in Tana after a year and a half, for he didn't have enough money. Anyway he doesn't like the city. I wish these people all the happiness in the world! They are wonderful.

Bon sinon Ambos, rien de bien joli à y faire, l'artisanat pour lequel cette ville est réputée est petit a petit remplacé par la production de masse.

A moins de vous perdre dans les villages environnant... La route de Tana jusqu'à Ambos est incroyable et on a envie de s'arrêter dans chaque petit village que l'on croise. J'aurai du, hooooo oui.

Enfin je ne m'éternise pas et poursuit jusqu'à Fianar pour allez rejoindre C. quelques jours et suivre son projet de gestion de déchets et autre...

Well, Ambos, nothing pretty to do there, handicrafts for which this city is known is little by little replaced by mass production. Unless you lost in the surrounding villages ... The road from Tana to Ambos is amazing and you'll want to stop in each village that you come across. I should have done it, hooooo yes. Finally I don't stay too much and continues to go to join C. in Fianar for a few days and follow his waste management project and other ...

FIANAR est une ville qui n'a rien de bien intéressant... Mais mon ami C. me permet d'y passer quelques jours afin de partager avec lui, et d'autres volontaires, leur vie quotidienne en pays Malgache. Et je dois dire que j'y ai pris goût petit à petit.

Fianar is a city that has nothing very interesting ... But my friend C. allows me to spend a few days in order to share with him and other volunteers, their daily lives in Malagasy country. And I must say that I started to like gradually.

J'ai eu l'occasion de découvrir leurs différents projets, liés au RELAIS, en France.

C. travail en tant qu'ingénieur pour la mise en place d'un système de tris des déchets et de récupération de compost organique, mais d'autres de ses amis travaillent dans des projets divers et variés comme la récupération des vêtements via l'organisation du Relais en France, création de vêtements unique, peluches, création de voiture,... le tout dans un cadre de réinsertion professionnelle de la population Malgache.

I had the opportunity to discover their various projects related to RELAIS, in France. C. is Working as an engineer to establishment a system of sorting waste and organic compost recovery, but others of his friends are working in diverse and varied projects such as the recovery of clothing via the France Relais organization, creating unique clothing, stuffed animals, car creation, ... all in a vocational rehabilitation part of the Malagasy population.

J'ai été vraiment très impressionnée de voir les différentes infrastructures et les services mis en place par le relais pour réaliser tout ces projets. Et mes amis, même en tant que Vasa, se sont très bien intégrés à la vie locale de Fianar. J'ai pu profiter avec eux de soirée Karaoké ambiancée, de danse bougé bougé, ainsi que de belles ballades dans les petits villages alentours.

I was really impressed to see the different infrastructure and services established by le Relais to realize these projects. And my friends, even as Vasa were very well integrated into the local life in Fianar. I could enjoy with them evening Karaoke, shake shake dance, as well as beautiful walks in the small villages nearby.

Fianar, il n'y a pas grand chose à y voir, mais lorsqu'on prend le temps, on s'y s'en bien!

Et puis, il ne faut pas oublier qu'il y a là le Petit Train pour Manakare !

Fianar, there is not much to see, but when you take the time, we can feel good there! And we must not forget it is the place to catch the small Train for Manakare!
